You are not alone...

Even though this is a home study course you will not be all on your own.

You will have a dedicated facilitator to guide you through the material and there are other people from all over the world with whom you can share your experiences.

If you are the social type, there is plenty of voluntary interaction with your fellow participants and course facilitator in the online course discussion forums. The most popular being the Learning Forums which contains a treasure trove of recipe reviews.

How long will it take?

The course material is divided into 8 easily digestible (pardon the pun) weekly sessions. Each session contains a bit of theory or background reading, with learning activities, and two practical sessions. In the first practical you will learn how to make a new gourmet herb and spice pantry product, and in the second practical you will learn how to add one or two new herbs to your cooking repertoire.

You will need to devote an average of about 3 hours per week to this course. One hour reading through the weekly material, selecting recipes, and doing your short assignment and online quiz. And about two hours, doing what you do anyway, cooking for yourself and your guests. (So there is no huge additional demand on your time.)

The difference being that this time you will be cooking up a storm and impressing your guests with your new 5 star recipes and dishes that burst with flavour.

But here's the great part. Even though it is a 8 week course, you have 10 weeks to complete it. We know that you have other demands on your time and sometimes things don't go as planned. Therefore we give you ample time to complete the course.
